Mr Anderson has more than 50 years of direct lending and trade credit experience. Starting in the Canadian Chartered banking system in the 1960’s he moved into the energy sector in 1972 working in the credit department of Pacific Petroleum, the founding operating company of Petro-Canada, ending his corporate career as the senior credit manager at Shell Canada.
Doug has developed a number of technical skills in trade credit and trade finance, including the development of credit policy manuals, credit department procedure manuals, protective credit clauses for purchase and sales contracts and is an avid student of ever-changing Canadian and American insolvency laws.
Doug’s history of involvement in the continuing education of the credit professional have been demonstrated by his encouragement of self and others to further develop their skills during this constantly changing commercial world as:
